Sunrise Run to Peterborough Diner 

Please join us for the Sunrise Run to the Peterborough Diner in Peterborough, New Hampshire.

Beat the summer heat and beat the summer traffic! We marshal at the Dunkin in Lancaster, MA at 6:00 AM for a 6:15 AM departure. We’ll follow the scenic backroads of Massachusetts and New Hampshire to the diner. 

The destination restaurant is a classic railcar style diner built in 1950 by the Worcester Dining Car Company, and features a diner style breakfast and lunch menu. Seating is available both inside and outdoors. The diner doesn’t take reservations, so we hope to beat the breakfast crowds as well.

There will be an OPTIONAL post-breakfast trip from the Peterborough Diner to nearby Miller State Park, where we will drive the steep winding auto route to the peak of Pack Monadnock (elevation 2290 feet). At the peak is a fire tower, with great mountain views, as well as a snack stand selling ice cream.

This extra excursion will add another 6 miles/14 minutes to the drive, plus time at the peak (say 30 minutes).

The cost to climb the peak is $4 per person, plus a $1 reservation fee. It is recommended but not strictly required that you reserve the auto route online beforehand – see this link.
