American Stonehenge Trip Report

October 5th, 2014

It was a brisk fall day when we left our house on Sunday @ 8:00 A.M. to arrive at Kimball’s Ice Cream for a 9:00 A.M. Drivers meeting. We left Kimball’s around 9:20 with Ted & Jane as our leaders and 13 cars in tow. We traveled over back roads for ore than 2 1/2 hours to arrive at Not Your Average Joe’s in Methuen, Ma. for our lunch.
After lunch we had a short drive to American Stonehenge in Salem, N.H.
Upon arrival we all proceeded to watch a introductory movie. We spent 1 1/2 hours wondering through the woods to many points of interest along the way by following the map provided.
The last things we saw before leaving were the four alpacas. One black, one brown, and 2 white ones. So cute. We left the American Stonehenge and traveled for about an hour on more back roads to Johnson’s Ice Cream in Groton, Ma.
We all enjoyed our ice cream. We all departed at different times for home. Thanks to Ted and Jane for a wonderful day.
