The 8th Annual Sunapee Lions Club Collectible & Antique Car Show was held on June 25, 2006. This was the first year they had a class just for Miatas, the Z Class. Lucy & Dan Ahern, from the Green Mountain Miata Club in Vermont, were responsible for organizing this class event for Miatas and letting the Mass Club know about the details.
The weather did not look great on Sunday when we all started our trip to the Mount Sunapee Resort in Sunapee, New Hampshire. But as soon as we got in the mountains the sun appeared and the day in the mountains was wonderful, sunny and warm.
A member of the Green Mountain Miata Club and two members of the Mass Miata Club took 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Z Class after all the votes were counted.
1st Place was Jeff Church, of the Green Mountain Miata Club.
2nd Place was Paul Franchi, of the Mass Miata Club with Grandson Gus
3rd Place was Rob and Rachael Smelstor, of the Mass Miata Club
