Brewery Run and New Bedford Whaling Museum Day
Date: Saturday, May 27,2023
Meeting location: BJ’s Parking Lot, 2085 Bay St, Taunton, Mass. (off 495)
Drivers Meeting: 8:45 AM
We will drive backroads (approx. 1 hour) to New Bedford visiting the Museum at 18 Johnny Cake Hill, New Bedford, MA 02740
We will spend about 2 hours at the museum.
Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time at whalingmuseum.org
The cost is $20/senior (65+) or $22/person. Also if you have a AAA card you can get 10% off at the door or 50% off if your library has a pass.
There are also two 3D movies for $2 each which can be viewed. Parking is either on the street (metered parking is free on Saturday’s) or 2 blocks away there is Elm Street Parking Garage.
From there we will drive about 2 miles to the Cisco Brewers Kitchen & Bar. The food here is wonderful, flights are available, bean bag toss, vendors, waterside walks and just a great setting. We will stay here as long as you like. I will prepare a leisurely ride back to BJ’s mid afternoon if anyone is interested or you can leave whenever you wish.
