A two day trip down to the central Connecticut coastline. On day one we will stop at Gillette Castle for a picnic lunch and to enjoy the views of the Connecticut River.

After lunch we will take a short ferry ride across the river then travel on down to the town of Essex. We will then board the Essex Steam Train and river boat for an enjoyable 2 ½ hour journey along the river.

Dinner will follow at Market 37 a riverside restaurant. We will stay the night at the Pier Blue Hotel in Old Saybrook. 

Friday morning breakfast will be directly across the street. We will then take a short drive down to Stoneycreek to board the Sea Mist for a 45 minute narrated tour of the Thimble Islands. A small group of islands with some rather beautiful homes and interesting history. After the tour we will head to Mystic for a lunch stop before heading back home. 

Unfortunately due to size restrictions at the restaurant and island cruise I have to limit this to just 20 people.  Once I get the first twenty to sign up I will give you the information to make your hotel, steam train, and island cruise reservations.
