December 5-7, 2025 Christmas in the White Mountains Photos

December 5, 2025 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

This was an organized trip by the Wilson Bus Co. that I posted to the clubs calendar.

I was surprised and very happy to have 17 Mass Miata friends joining Bob & Me on my birthday weekend.

Muddy Moose Restaurant & Pub was our Friday’s lunch stop. Food, service was very good.

Friday we stopped at Nestlenook Farms for a sleigh ride and hot chocolate.

We stayed at the beautiful White Mountain Hotel & Resort in North Conway. All of the food was delicious.

Friday night entertainment with Marlena Phillips singing Santa Baby. She has a fantastic voice and really knows how to play the key board.

Saturday afternoon entertainment was Joey Vincent

No matter what your taste in entertainment, the Joey Vincent Show has something for everyone. More than just music, more than just comedy, his show is fresh and original! Fast-paced humor, rapid-fire costume change impressions, and a musical tribute to the trumpet greats and just part of the fun. From Harry James to James Brown, Stevie Wonder to Willie Nelson, Louis Armstrong to Luciano Pavarotti, Joey Vincent will take you on a musical journey from the 30’s to today!

Saturday night entertainment was Singing State Trooper Dan Clark.

Daniel has been performing ever since he was a young boy. Introduced to stage performances by his parents at 5 years old he began a journey to develop into the great entertainer he is today. Owing his style to not only years of training but learning from those great performers who created the world of entertainment, performance, and music.

Sunday on the way home we stopped at the Cog Railroad.

The Mount Washington Cog Railway, also known as the Cog, is the world’s first mountain-climbing cog railway. The railway climbs Mount Washington in New Hampshire, United States. It uses a Marsh rack system and both steam and biodiesel-powered locomotives to carry tourists to the top of the mountain.

Skiers braving the elements of Mount Washington.

It was -55 degrees at the summit on December 7, 2025

Waumbek Station is located at an elevation of 4,000 feet and is a winter destination for the Mount Washington Cog Railway. It is a mid-point on the railway’s route, offering panoramic views and amenities like hot beverages and a fire pit during the winter months.

Train seats have been flipped for the ride back down the mountain.

Our lunch stop was in North Woodstock, N.H.

We had three restaurants to choose from.

Merland’s Tap & Table (recommended)

Pemi Publick House (very good)

Woodstock Inn Brewery (very Good)

A car ran a stop sign and George had to slam on the brakes.

Thanks to George our bus driver for being in control of the bus and for the bus having good brakes.

Our bus hostess was Barbara (George’s wife). She was very friendly, pleasant and provided us with information along the routes.
