Woodstock Vermont Overnight

Please join the Massachusetts Miata Club’s overnight outing to Woodstock Vermont to explore local attractions and byways, from Thursday June 4th to Sunday June 7th 2026. On Thursday morning, we will meet in Peterborough NH, take a scenic drive up to Woodstock, and check into our hotel. On Friday, we will take a scenic day trip northwards, and on Saturday, we will take a scenic day trip southwards. We will be enjoying the quaint village of Woodstock throughout, including its restaurants. The trip includes a fair amount of outdoor walking, in town and country. On Sunday, we’ll make a scenic return drive. 

Thursday- Theme: Sculpture and Gardens

Meet at Peterborough Diner 10 Depot Street, Peterborough, MA 03458 at 8:45 am, for a 9:00 breakfast. Scenic drive to  Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park. Drive onwards to check into The Vesper Woodstock. Walk to dinner at OYC Bar & Grill in Woodstock. 104 miles of scenic driving.

Friday- Theme: Green Mountains and Famous Sons 

Drive to the nearby Calvin Coolidge Historic Site. Scenic drive through the Green Mountains to Montpelier for a tour of the Vermont State House. Return scenic drive to Woodstock. Walk to dinner at Santé in Woodstock. 182 miles of scenic driving.

Saturday – Theme: Hill Climb and Famous Farms

Walk to Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park in Woodstock. Scenic drive to Mount Ascutney for the Auto Hill Climb and optional hike to the summit. Scenic drive to the picturesque  Jenne Farm. Return drive to Woodstock. Walk to dinner at Richardson’s Tavern in Woodstock. 97 miles of scenic driving.

Sunday- Theme: Industry and Covered Bridges

Check out of the Vesper. Drive to nearby American Precision Museum. Scenic drive, touring 5 covered bridges, to waterside dining at  The Marina Brattleboro. Scenic drive to Murdock Farm for ice cream. 128 miles of scenic driving.

The hotel allows cancellation up to one week before check-in. However, if you have a room and wish to cancel, please contact me first so that we can reassign the room to someone on the wait list, rather than give it up to an OTM owner.
