“Come join Mike and Ellen Camacho for a fun road trip in Southeastern MA! We will travel through Freetown, Dartmouth, Westport, Rochester and end up in Mattapoisett at Ned’s Point Lighthouse, where you can have lunch (bring a picnic lunch, chair or blanket….there are some picnic tables also, or you can sit on the rocks by the harbor!)
The trip will end at Ned’s Point, and for anyone interested we can drive to Acushnet Creamery for ice cream after hanging out at Ned’s Point. (The mileage for this option is NOT included in the total time for the first part of the trip, about 15 min or so to drive there)
The meeting place will be in Lakeville, MA close to Route 140. I will be provide the address upon RSVP. Gas is available at Exit 16 or Exit 10 on Route 140 depending on the direction you travel from, please come with full tanks.
Meet time: 10:00 A.M.
Driver meeting: 10:15 A.M.
Departure time: 10:30 A.M.
Trip length : approx. 80-85 miles and 3.5 hours, with 1 short pit stop about 1/2 way through. Ice cream will add a little bit of mileage.
This is a rain or shine trip.
There will be a 15 car limit (2 groups) if I have volunteers to lead/tail the second group. If not, there will be a 10 car limit, with 2 spots for new members.
