We all met at the Seabrook Rest Area for 3:00 PM. There were 23 cars and 40 people all ready and willing to conquer the night time ride on twisty back roads. We departed the rest area and split into two groups. Jack & Judy led the first group with Les, Deidre & Bill helping out being the middle and tail cars. The second group was led by Terry & Linda for their maiden run with Bob & Brenda and Bob & Janet helping the group. We traveled on roads hugging the coast for what was supposed to be coastal views but encountered deep fog. We knew we were close to the ocean because of the smell of low tide. It gave us the opportunity to admire the houses since we were unable to see the ocean. Thanks to Chris and Bob for blocking the road so we could all get onto Route 1 even though some of the cars were not happy with the situation, but we could have been there for hours if not for them. We arrived at Newick’s in Dover New Hampshire for our dinner reservations for 5:00 PM. The meals were great and the waitresses handled taking care of the group very well. The sunset at the restaurant was breath taking. After dinner we were on the road for our second leg of the trip in the dark for an ice cream stop. The first group encountered a deer in the middle of the road and again this year was able to miss it. The ride was extremely fun and the roads were great. We were able to see the moon at the ice cream stop. Thanks to Jack & Judy for organizing a great trip.
