SUMMARY:Non-MMC Event - Autocross Opportunity at Lime Rock Park
DESCRIPTION:The president of the Pelham Motorsports Club\, Gary Friedman\, is extending an invitation to members of the MMC to participate in several autocross events at Lime Rock Park.  These are private autocross events with limited slots\, ensuring a lot of track time.  Check out Gary’s YouTube video for an idea of what the LRP autocross course is like. For more information see Gary’s invitation below and reach out to him if you are interested! \nFriday September 10\, 2021  1:00 to 5:00 P.M.GG \nDue to the limited participation\, our fee is higher than that charged by Lime Rock for its public events–$400 per participant\, and $250 extra for an additional driver sharing the same car. \nGood Afternoon\, \nI am president of the Pelham Motorsports Club\, based in Pelham\, New York. We are a private club that sponsors motorsports related events\, including autocross and track days. \nWe have been hosting private autocross events at Lime Rock Park for the last 8 years\, with autocross events usually scheduled 4-5 times per year. I know that the Nutmeg Club has its own autocross event at Lime Rock each year\, and I have had the pleasure of meeting a number of your members at the annual Shootout event\, including this past year. \nEach of our events is 4 hours in duration and is typically limited to 7-9 participants at each event–thus affording each participant an abundance of track time. We run mostly on a variation of the “long course” and have our participants timed so that they can be officially entered in Lime Rock’s published database each year–you will see our entrants well represented in the annual results (attached). DESCRIPTION:TRIP IS FULL\, A WAIT LIST IS AVAILABLE\nJust so everyone understands!\nThis is a Mass Miata event and not just a ride on the track \, so lunch is apart of the trip but is not free.\nWe will depart Main Street Auto and drive to the Steaming Tender for our lunch stop and then  drive to Palmer Race track. After our track time is done there will be a drive for an ice cream stop for anyone that wants to attend. \nThere will be veterans there so if you are alone you might have a veteran sitting in you passenger seat to enjoy the track ride with you. \nThe track will not be a RACE! We will be escorted around the track with a pace car for 5 laps. \nDid you ever want to drive your Miata on a race track? Well this is your opportunity to enjoy the curves of the track.  We will meet at Main Street Auto 676 Main Street Clinton\, MA 01510 on Sunday September 19\, 2021 at 9:30 A.M. with a departure time of 10:00 A.M. We will  drive to the Steaming tender for our lunch stop. There will be a limited menu that you will have to choose what you would like to eat that day.
