Formerly known as the Collings Foundation\, the new American Heritage Museum features one of the largest collections of tanks and military vehicles in the world with the Jacques M. Littlefield Tank and Armor Collection included in the 65\,000+ sq. ft. museum with over 95 tanks\, vehicles\, and artifacts on display. Pack yourself a picnic lunch to bring with you and there is a full-service bar on board with snacks. The cruise is from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. We will stop for ice cream after the cruise.  \nThe Cape Cod Canal\, a man-made National Civil Engineering Landmark\, is the widest sea-level canal (without locks) in the world. Come out with us on a tour and see all the interesting landmarks along the canal. The Northfield is celebrating 70 years of showing movies under the stars\, and is listed as one of the 30 best drive-ins in the country. Saturday August 10th is a Retro night – with two classic films showing as a double features being  (Back to the future and the Goonies). \n  \nWe will meet at the Regency Westford at 2:30pm\, for the 70 mile / 2 hour trip to the Northfield Drive-In. We will be going on back roads for the whole trip – there is one brief section (less than a mile) on an unpaved road that will take in 2nd gear. We’ll stop about halfway through the trip for ice cream. The gates at the Northfield will open at 6:30pm. There is a snack bar in the drive-in serving burgers/hot dogs/pizza (and popcorn\, of course)\, or you can bring your own picnic dinner. Folding chairs or a picnic blanket might be a good idea; bug spray is essential! Tickets are $24/car – cash only\, paid at the gate. The movie screening should start about ½ hour after sunset\, or 8:30PM.
