Our first stop on our Great South American Adventure will be at the Hill Crest Alpacas Farm in North Dartmouth. These unique animals are breed for there fiber like wool which is highly prized for use in knitted and woven items such as gloves\, hat and scarves. Alpaca wool maintains it’s warmth even when wet. A shop is on the grounds selling Alpaca knitted items. The owner of the farm will give us a tour and hopefully we can feed some of the Alpacas. Also\, for those interested they also sell Alpacas\, so you can bring one home in your Miata. \nHill Crest Alpacas – an alpaca farm located in North Dartmouth\, Massachusetts owned by Shirley and Roger Lanouette. \n \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \nAfter touring the farm we will take a scenic drive around the Westport area. Then return to North Dartmouth for a mid-afternoon meal at the Brazilian Grill Prime Steakhouse. Now if you have never been to a Brazilian Steakhouse\, just remember one thing\, bring a BIG appetite. \nBrazilian Grill – Brazilian\, Restaurant\, Rodizio (braziliangrillrestaurants.com) \n \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n“The main attraction is the Churrasco a Rodizio\, the traditional Brazilian barbecue\, served table-side by Gauchos\, who carve up skewers of beef\, chicken\, pork and lamb that have been grilled over wood fire\, just as the legendary Gauchos would have done in the Rio Grande do Sul region of Brazil. “.  Also\, included is a large salad bar which includes many Brazilian side dishes. But honestly who wants to eat salad with all the grilled options. \nThe price for the Rodizio is $34.95 per person. For those that only want the salad bar it is $27.50 per person. \nUnfortunately I have to limit this event to 20 vehicles\, with three spaces reserved for new members. Sign ups will begin  noon time Monday August 1st.
